The Story behind my Engagement Day...

10.10.10 is my Engagement Day with ellyas selamat dilangsungkan...alhamdulillah..majlis berlangsung dgn meriah dihadiri oleh our immediate family from both side.(hmm..lebih kurang 60 org kot)..lebih kurang jam 1.30 ptg,tetamu from my side sudah mula membanjiri perkarangan khemah dan di ruang tamu...penuh gak la rumah time tue..

rombongan pihak lelaki tiba di rumah around 3 ptg termasuk juga la my Mr.Right..seperti yg dijanjikan they all datang with 5 dulang hantaran and berbalas 7 dulang from my side..

Masa sesi perbincangan me ade kat dalam bilik.. agak2 lebih kurang 20 minit je kot diorang berbincang..hmmm..i dont know bout the detail but my mum informed they talk about Mas kawin,hantaran and our wedding date..kata mama lagi, Mas kawin rm 100.00, Duit Hantaran 10k and our wedding date is 20.11.2011(sebenarnye date tue kitorang yg pilih..hehehe)

around 3.30 ptg, me dipanggil keluar ke ruang tamu utk disarungkan cincin..menggeletar tangan dan sepupu2 serta mak turut terperasan tangan yg menggigil nih..bakal mak mertua pulak tgh konpius sb x tau nak sarung cincin tunang belah mana,cincin risik belah mana..last2 sarung je dua2 ke jari manis belah kanan..hehe..

dah selesai majlis,tetamu dipersilakan utk makan2....antara lauk2 yg dimasak oleh my mum is : nasi putih,masak lemak nenas & ikan masin,ayam masak hitam,sayur campur,sambal belacan,ulam ulaman,kuah bakar,kuih kaswi and rojak buah..semuanye my mum masak sendirik tau..

Pastu saudara mara belah pihak lelaki pulang around 4.30 petang manakala pihak kami pulang dlm jam 6.30...then tinggal my very own family dgn psaan yg lega+tak percaya...:)

actually my Engagement day nie diketahui oleh beberapa sahabat je..sorry x jemput korang semua dtg eh..coz kitorang buat kecil-kecilan..kira cam majlis tertutup la ini (wah..ayat cam artis plak..) hehehe..

3 Days to the Engagement..

Aduii..macam x caya je lagi 3 hari me akan bertunang ngan ellyas..arghhh..biar btol..cepat btol masa jalan kan..hish dah macam ada butterfly in my stomach plak nie..tetiba je risau semacam..macam banyak je benda x settle lagi nie..
hurm..xpe2..kite buat checklist dulu eh..

Engagement checklist

1. Hantaran - at the moment we planned for 5 dr pihak lelaki berbalas 7 dr pihak perempuan. We also think that for tunang, hantaran biasa2 jer.

Hantaran From me to him:

i. Sirih junjung- (my sista yg akan buat kan on nite before-9/10/2010)

ii. baju nikah + Sampin - Done

iii. Cake - (alamak this one blom cfm lagi..ingat nk carik cupcakes readymade je la-to buy on 9/10/2010-carik kat pavillion or KLCC )

iv. Chocolate -(sama mcm kek blom beli lagi-to buy on 9/10/2010-carik kat pavillion or KLCC)

v. Fruit basket -(plan nk beli buah kiwi je..coz my hantaran cam sarang burung..konon buah kiwi cam telor burung la..hehe- to buy on 9/10/2010 kt giant,carefore or cold storage)

vi. Pulut Kuning & Ayam Golek- (this one my Opah insist nak buat..katanye "adat orang Perak" - to be done on morning 10/10/2010)

vii. Sony PS3 - (my special gift for my love one..mamat nie mmg giler games n gadget-Done)

4. Hantaran decoration - ( Damn..yg nie blom siap lagi 80% lagi kot nak siap..:( )

6. Jamuan/F&B - (My Mum insist nak masak sendiri..siap merajuk lagi bile me decide nak pakai catering so bahan mentah akan di beli on 9/10/10 malam..

7. canopy - Boboy Fren- booked, confirmed

8. Makeup - Sendirik je..nasib baik me ade basic coz dulu pernah ambek course Makeup..hehehe

9. baju bertunang - beli aje..tapi korset blom alter lagi la..

Here Comes the....Fiance..

My relationship with ellyas has taken a new big step last weekend..

We're getting engaged!!!

Ever since the news broke out today at my office,many have asked me, "so how did he propose?" hmmm..wanna know how..?

Well..me and ellyas was knowing each other about 3 years back,I still remember his pickup line on that day.. "Hi..I'm ellyas,can i get your name?" . I'm kinda shock actually..Come on a handsome boy say" hi" to me and looks like he really want to "mengurat" me hahaha..hmm he quite daring la that time..but you guys must not believe this..we're just "dating" actually "meeting" about 15 minutes je that time..

But amazingly after 3 years he still remember me..I thought he already forgotten me..but I don't know how suddenly he just "Pop up" into my life..hye syg..remember I say this to you, "Where have you been? What took you so long?" anyhow I'm so glad and so happy that "Tuhan pertemukan kite semula kan"

19th April 2010 is our 1st "re-met" day kan..I'll still remember where I fetch you at Ampang Point and staright to Pavillian for movie and our 1st Movie is "Date Night" and after that you take me for very romantic dinner @ Delicious Restaurant kan..Well that memory still fresh in my mind syg..

hmmm..you know what..I don't know la ellyas is really crazy or out of his mind or maybe he just "Hi or Drunk" la,coz on our 3rd day "dating" (21/04/2010) he actually PROPOSE me!!! he said... "Liana would you marry me?" Whoa..gile ape..BUT I don't know maybe I'm crazy too coz I'm saying.. "YES".. yes syg..

But in Malay tradition,there is no official proposal between the man and the woman but instead,there's something called MERISIK,which was exactly what happened last Sunday afternoon 19/09/2010 (our 5 month anniversary)..we're purposely pick that date tau!!

Yes,pretty complicated stuff..In the olden days,the man and pontential bride are absent from the discussion but this is the 21st century so both me and ellyas were present,along with ellyas mother,dad,brothers and sisters.

I guest the most important goal of the Sunday afternoon-apart from expressing both side's blessings-was that both of our immediate families can get along.After the agreement has been reached(I won't get down to details), we adjourned for tea,cakes and light conversations..Everything went well..

So yeah, that's that..we're not officially engaged as the engagement ceremony will be held in this coming 10/10/2010..omg..it's 3 weeks from now!!!
